Garza Gonzalez & Associates has been serving Texas since 1976, delivering quality, professional, and reliable accounting, auditing, and consulting services. Founded by Gregory R. Garza and René E. Gonzalez, our firm was built on a vision of raising the standard of financial reporting and accountability for small businesses, local governments, school districts, and nonprofit organizations.
Audit Approach
Our firm’s size allows for a hands-on partner led approach giving our clients direct access to experienced professionals. We combine paperless documentation with a tailored audit approach that enhances our efficiency and effectiveness.
We provide our clients with access to an online share-file portal, which is a business-focused cloud based secured platform designed to secure file storage, sharing and management. This portal uses Transport Layer Security (TLS), an advanced security protocol that provides end-to-end protection for client authentication and authorization. Data is also safeguarded with up to 256-bit encryption — one of the most secure encryption algorithms available today. Additional measures include securely configured firewalls, redundant storage, and file backup. As a result of these advances, we can tailor our fieldwork to be performed on site or remotely, depending upon client preference.

Training
Our team members are required to take a minimum of 80 hours of continuing professional education biannually, ensuring our firm remains at the forefront of industry knowledge and practices. To guarantee consistent professional growth, at least 20 of these hours must be completed annually and 24 hours must be completed in governmental accounting and auditing, reflecting our commitment to audits of local governments and not for profit entities.
This training is tailored to the unique needs of our clientele, incorporating the latest accounting standards and pronouncements to ensure we offer the most current and effective service possible.
